Environmental Sustainability

The planet is rather large, and quite frankly, we’re a relatively small company. But we as individuals, and as a group, can take small steps to help reduce our carbon footprint on this big blue sphere in space.

A few examples of some of our Environmental Sustainability practices are:

Our company vehicle is a hybrid

The majority of our work takes place away from our office. That means a lot miles between us and happy clients. So it makes sense to have a vehicle that can accommodate all of our equipment and people, while using as little fossil fuels as we can.

We recycle

Yes, this seems like a given, but you would be surprised how much recyclable material gets tossed out from day to day apathy. Every work station in our office has recycle bins next to trash cans to ensure we’re doing our part.

We deliver digital content

Most of our video projects are delivered via FTP, email, or online servers, so the need for hard copy media and packaging material is greatly reduced. We also provide digital transcripts and scanned exhibits that are emailable (so no need to print out hundreds of sheets of paper). It also gets the client their content faster!

We shoot tapeless video

Our main production cameras shoot direct to reusable hard drive units and our legal video cameras shoot direct to DVDs. Tape stock is expensive and contains a lot of plastics and chemicals. By eliminating our need to use it, we’re reducing our plastic dependency, creating faster workflows, and saving our clients money.

We buy post consumer products

As much as we try to limit our printing and packaging needs, we still strive to deliver the product our clients ask for. When creating disc orders we prefer to use post consumer paper sleeves rather than hard plastic cases. And our printers are often stocked with recycled paper.
